On 2 October, 2021, Captain James Browning was honored at the Hamilton County Airport in Syracuse, KS, during the 26th Annual Classic and Antique Fly-In. A Memorial Ceremony was held for the Syracuse native with the dedication of a special plaque in his honor. This event was made possible by Mark and Jeff Davis of Syracuse.
