Midway Ave., Upper Darby, Pa.)
Original C.O. of the 362nd F. Sqd., flew P-39's in
the South Pacific and acted as Buzz Wagner's opera-
tion officer; got 2 Jap planes. Shot down 2 German
planes. Killed while strafing airfield in middle
France on March 28, 1944.
(2) BROADHEAD, JOSEPH E. LT. COL. O-728563
(Wife - Mrs. Beth L. Broadhead, 814 E St.
Ruppert, Idaho)
Original Operations Officer of the 362nd. Went over-
seas for first tour as Capt. Took over sqd. when Lt. Col.
Egenes went down. Rose to Major. Took RE'R and finished
second tour and got Lt. Col. and 8 planes to his credit.
(3) HENSLEE, LEM P. CAPT. O-565628 GR
(Mrs. Zora M. Henslee, 401 W. Washington, Anson, Texas)

(Milwaukee, Wisconsin)
Executive officer with the 362nd. Transferred out of
362nd in England before we began operation. Now a
Major.
(5) GRANBACKA, ALEXANDER CAPT. O-233030 GR
First Supply Officer with the 362nd. Took over
Group Supply in England. Old army man having over
20 years in Reg. Army.
(6) LINGO, ARTHUR M. CAPT. O-726636
(Wife - Mrs. Dorothy M. Lingo, Box 626, Fellow, Calif.)
Original flight leader, later operations officer
with 362nd F. S. Had two German planes to his credit
when he went down April 11, 1944. Haven't heard a
word of him.
(7) PICKRELL, DON O. CAPT. O-375361 GR
(Wife - Mrs. Mary pickrell, 2000 E. Silver Ave.
Albuquerque, N. M.)
Intelligence officer with 362nd.
