Had two enemy planes to his credit when he went

Finished tour of duty and was Sqd. C.O. of 362nd.
Was my flight leader when I joined 362 in Hayward.
Shot down the 1st plane the group got. Had six
planes destroyed when he finished his tour.

Was flight leader when he went down May 30'44
deep in Germany--never heard of him. An enemy
aircraft got him when he wasn't looking, Was
leading the group in kills when he went down -
10 planes to his credit. I fly Capt. Adams wing
on many missions.
